Motor Vehicles Abatements
The Board reviewed and approved 28; 2017 motor vehicle abatements totaling $4,917.81 tax. A report
of the abatements is available in the assessors' office. Unanimous 3-0-0.
Recommitments
The Board recommitted 1 Motor Vehicle, 1995 number 1 in the amount of$106.25. The recommitment
is available in the assessors' office. Unanimous 3-0-0.
86 Namequoit Rd — The Board deemed denied the Tax Deferral application after learning that the
Mortgage Company refused to sign into the Deferral Agreement. Unanimous 3-0-0.
Abatements
Verizon The Board voted to authorize the Chairman Nick Bono to sign an agreement to abate
Fiscal 2010 Personal Property Tax in the amount of $32,515.04 ($2,276.05 tax) and Fiscal 2011 in the
amount of $34,186.99 ($2,393.09 tax). Total for the two years $4,669.14. This agreement was also
approved by William A. Hazel, Verizon's attorney and Kevin W. Brown General Counsel and Daniel A.
Shapiro Counsel to the Commissioner of the Department of Revenue. Unanimous 3-0-0.
17 Nell Way/Dr. Maczko The Board voted to authorize the Chairman Nick Bono to sign an
application to the Department of revenue under the provisions of MASS G.L.c58 &8 to abate Fiscal 2015,
2016 and 2017 Commercial Personal Property taxes. Unanimous 3-0-0.
Minutes
The Board approved the minutes dated April 18, 2017. Unanimous 3-0-0.
