Roll Call The City of Tiffin City Council held a work session Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at the City Hall Council Chambers. Mayor Berner called the meeting to order at 6:01 PM. Upon roll being called the following members were present: Tim Orris, Skylar Limkemann, Eric Schnedler, Chris Olney. Al Havens present via Microsoft Teams. Others present City Administrator Doug Boldt and City Clerk Abigail Hora. B. Agenda Additions/Agenda Approval Motion to approve agenda by Limkemann. Second by Schnedler. All ayes, agenda approved. C. Motion to Adjourn from Work Session into Closed Session in Accordance with Iowa Code Chapter 21.5(j) for Potential Real Estate Purchase Motion to Adjourn from Work Session into Closed Session in Accordance with Iowa Code Chapter 21.5(j) for Potential Real Estate Purchase by Orris. Second by Limkemann. Roll Call: Havens, Orris, Schnedler, Olney, Limkemann. Motion to adjourn from Closed Session into Regular Session by Schnedler. Second by Orris. Discussion: Denny Brown 201 College St, Kris Lauderbaugh 211 College St, Harley Stapes 141 Summerhayes St, Roger Janssen 230 Summerhayes St, Ed Swim 210 Summerhayes St, Rod Madden 120 Railroad St, Rodney Walls 230 Railroad St, expressed concerns over their assessments on phase one original town urbanization project. Most wanted to know what they were paying for and ask the interest to be waived. ndnd Al Seering, 130 E 2, would like a stop sign on the corner of Summerhays and 2 Street for the East and West bound traffic. Tom Lampe, 430 Bear Dr, addressed the posted and non-posted speed limits throughout the City. He would like the ordinance to be updated and areas to have more signs. E. Reports to be Received/Filed 1. M. Reports from City Personnel 1. Discussion: Mayor Berner attended an MPO meeting share of the cost has increased due to increased population. 2. City Council Reports Discussion: Council Person Olney expressed interest in creating a Parks and Recreation commission on a volunteer basis. Would like the City to consider terms on the Planning and Zoning Commission. Council Person Orris thanked the Fire Department for the pancake breakfast. 3. Report Discussion: Public Works Director Brian Detert reported the fountain has been reinstalled on Goldfinch. He will be addressing the speed limit signs around Tiffin. 4. Building Official Report Discussion: Nothing to Report. 5. s Report Discussion: Recreation Director Frank Haege reported Tiffin Rec rd Fest on July 23, the schedule was posted on the Cities Facebook page. 6.
