CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.2012-21
RECOGNIZING LINDA LANE FOR FIVE YEARS
OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF MEDINA
WHEREAS, Linda Lane has been a valued full time City of Medina employee in the Public
Works and Planning Departments since March 26, 2007; and
WHEREAS, Linda has served as the Office Assistant to Public Works and Planning for the
past five years, as well as serving as the Office Receptionist, the City's first line of defense on
phones and counter traffic; and
WHEREAS, Linda serves as the City's Community Event Coordinator for the City
Cleanup Day and Medina Celebration Day, adding to the celebration through her establishment of
the `Business Expo' and has seen the celebration triple its attendance over the last few years; and
WHEREAS, Linda has taken on several large tasks for the Public Works Department over
the last few years such as: yearly DNR Water Usage Report, Consumer Confidence Report, and
MS4 Report; and
WHEREAS, Linda has worked with Public Works Superintendent Steve Scherer on several
large grant projects: Holy Name Lake Shoreline Restoration Project, Lake Independence Shoreline
Restoration Project and currently the Loretto Creek Phosphorus Removal Project, training on the
elink system set up by BWSR for posting work plans, updates and reporting for the projects; and
WHEREAS, Linda has served as backup to the Administration and Planning Departments
for lunches, illness, vacations, maternity leaves, etc., as well as being willing to jump in and help
with any large mailing or project that comes up no matter which department.
WHEREAS, the City of Medina expresses sincere gratitude for Linda's dedication and
continued service to the Medina community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Medina
acknowledges and thanks Linda Lane for five years of service to the community.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Pederson
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Crosby, Martinson, Pederson, Siitari, Weir
And the following voted against same:
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
