HomeMy Public PortalAbout2012-24 Resolution Authorizing Publication of Ord 526Member Siitari introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2012-24 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE NO. 526 BY TITLE AND SUMMARY WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 526, an ordinance amending Section 827 of the City Code regarding Planned Unit Developments; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, section 412.191, subd. 4, allows publication by title and summary in the case of lengthy ordinances or those containing charts or maps; and WHEREAS, the ordinance is 20 pages in length; and WHEREAS, the city council believes that the following summary would clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina that the City Administrator -Clerk shall cause the following summary of Ordinance No. 526 to be published in the official newspaper in lieu of the entire ordinance: Public Notice The city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 526. The ordinance amends the procedures by which the City reviews and takes action upon requests for Planned Unit Developments (PUD). The ordinance clarifies the objectives an applicant is required to meet in order to receive PUD approval and makes changes to the review process for concept plans and also the process following approval of the General Plan of Development. The full text of Ordinance No. 526 is available for inspection at Medina city hall during regular business hours. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that the City Administrator keep a copy of the ordinance in the clerk's office at city hall for public inspection and that the City Administrator post a full copy of the ordinance in a public place within the city.
