RESOLUTION FOR DECREASING THE PRIMA FACIE
SPEED LIMIT ON IN]PFRIAL HIGHWAY, BETWEEN
THE INTERSECTION OF ATLANTIC AVENUE AND
CENTURY BOULEVARD WITHIN THE CORPORATE
LZI��IITS OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD TO 35 ItRILES
PER HOUR,
RESOLVED, that pursuant to 3ection 511.3, Subdivision
'B' of the Vehicle Code, Stats, of 1947, Chapter 788, it ie
resolved that the prima facie apeed limit on Imperiel Highwa,y
between the intersection oP Atlantic Avenue and Century Boule–
vard, a local highway withln the City of Lynmood, is hereby
fTxed at 35 miles per hour.
It is further resolved that said prima facie 3peed limit
is based on an engineering and traffic survey of the City of Lynwood.
It is further resolved that the prima Pacie llmit of 55
miles per hour is more than ie reasonable or eafe upon said portlon
of Imperial Highway and that the prima facie speed limit of 35 miles
per hour herein establiehed ia the apeed most appropriate t3 facilitate
the ordinary movement of traffic in a reasonable and safe manner.
It is further reeolved that such prima fa.cie apeed limit
� ahall become effective upon the posting of ap�ropriate si�ns givl;4B�
notice of such speed limit and that such signa be posted before
Deoember 9, 1947.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of October, 1949.
