RE30LUTION OF INTENTION: DETERTvIINING AND DECLARING
THAT SAID WORK, OR INiPROVEMENT, I5 OF MORE THAN
LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT, THAT THE EXPENSES
THERFAF BE ASSESSID UPON A DISTRICT, THAT BONDS BE
ISSUED TO REPRESENT THE COST THEREOF, THAT THE
PROCEEDINGS THEREF'OR BE TAKEN UNDER THE °IIv1PROVEBBENT
ACT OF 1911"� AND THE �ENDMENTS THEREOF: DIRECTING
THE CITY ENGINEER TO MAKE A DIAGRAIvI OF THE PROPERTY
AFFECTED OR BENEFITED BY SAID WORK� OR IID[PROVII�IENT:
DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO POST NOTICES OF THE .
PASSAGE OF THE RESOLUTIGN: AND FIXING A TIME AND
PLACE FOR HEARING PROTESTS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood, Countq
of Los Angelea, State oP CaliPornie, pursuant to the °Special Assess-
ment Investigation, Limitation and Ma,�ority Protest Act of 1931",
and after hearing thereon has made its findings and determination,
covering the proposed construction of curbs, guttera and side�;�alka
in.the above described property and said City Council has deter-
mined that the pro3ect is feasible and the public intereat, con-
venlence and necessity require the improvement subatantially as
set forth in said report and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that the lands to be
assessed will be able to atand the burden of the propoaed asseas-
� ment and that the limitationa on the amounts of assesaments may
not be exceeded both with respect to the limitations as to the
district as a whole and as to individual specific asseesmente.
� NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by,the City Council of the
City of Lynwood, California,�as follows:
Section l. In the opinion of the City Council of the City

of Lynwood the public interest and convenience require and it is
the intention of sa,id City Council to order the following work,
or improvement, to be done, �o wit: the construction of curbe,
gutters and sidewalka in the following described streets and
alleys, including all intersectiona of said atreets and alleqsi
in the Gity of Lynwood, County oP Los Angeles, State oP California,'
to wit:
That property in Tract 11862, Blocka "A° and "B",
recorda of Los Angeles County, particularly
bounded on Bullis Road on the West, Erneetine
Avenue on the East, W�lnut Avenue on the 3outh�
and the property line 149.23 feet north of Platt
Avenue on the North, by conatructing curba,
guttera and sidewalks completely around said
Block "B" and from the aforesaid North property
line around Block "A°, along one side of Bullis
Road, Walnut AVenue and Ernestine Avenue and on
both sides of Platt Avenue within the above
deacribed boundary.
That the coat oP such work, or improvement, it is esti-
mated.will not exceed the sum of 3even Thousand, Five Hundred,
Ten Dollara (�7,510.00).
That all the work and improvement aforesaid ehall be done
and performed as shown on and in accordance with and to the grades
ahown on the plans, profiles and apecificationa therefor filed
in the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall of said City of
Lynrvood, Said plana are hereby referred to for a full and detailed
description of said proposed work and for the,grade to which the
work is to be done and are made a part hereof.
3ection 2. That, purauant to the provisions of Sections
3a and b of the "Improvement Act oP 1911", ae amended, the City

Council of the City of Lynwood pr000aes to do the above work,
or improvement, by contract; qo contribution of either labor
or material will be made by the City, and the entire cost of
said improvffiment is to be paid by special assessmente u�on
benefited property,
8ection 3. All of the work, or improvement aforesaid,
described in Section 1 hereof shall be done in accordance with and
to the g�rade shown on Plaris and Sepcification No. 694 for the
improvement of the aforesaid atreets, avenues, alleqs and inter-
sections by the construction of curbs, gutters and sidewalks, on
file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood,
Ga.lifornia.
Said Plans and Specificationa are hereby referred to for
a full and detailed description of eaid propoaed work, or improve-
ment, and for the description of the grade to which the work is
to be done and are made a part thereof.
Section 4, The work, or improvement, for the furnishing
and dellvery by the Contractor.of all labor, materials and supplies,
ahall be furniahed and delivered in accor3ance with Plans a.nd
8pecifications No. 694 for furnishing and delivering materials
in connection with the improvement of sa.id atreeta, avenuea, alleys,
and intersections by the conatruction curba, gutters and sidewalka
on Pile in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood�
California. Said Plans and Specifications are hereby referred to
for further p�rticulars and are made a part hereof.
• Section 5. Said contemplated work, or improvement, in
the opinion of the City Council, 1� oY more than local or ordinary
public benefit, and the City Council hereby determines and declares
that the district to be benefited by said work, or improvement,
and to be assessed to pay the coste and expenses of furnishing
all the materials and auptiliea necessary to do the above work,
or improvement, is bounded and described as follows:

Sectlon 6. That it is hereby determined that no part of
the cost of said improvement is to'be paid by the City of Lynwood.
' The entire cost of labor, materials and suppliea is to be paid
by special assessments upon benefited,property.
, All the labor, materials and aupplies, the cost of which
is to be pai d by,said apecial assessments upon benefited property,
and which will be f urnished snd delivered by the Contractor in
. accorda,nce with said Plans and 8pecifications No. 694 on file in
the o1'fice of the City Clerk of Lynwood, Reference is hereby
made to said Specifications for a full and comi3ete description
and said 3pecifications shall govern for all detaSls.
� Section 7. The City Council hereby determines and declaree
tha.t serial bonds ahall be issued in the.manner and Porm provided
in the °2mprovement Act of 1911'�, as amended, bearing interest
at the rate of six per eentum per annum to represent each assessment
• of twenty-five dollars (�25.00), or oner, remaining unpaid for
thirty days,after the date of the warrant, Said serial bonds sh�ll

extend over a period ending nine years from the second day of
January next succe�ding the next October fifteenth following their
date. S�id bonds and interest thereon ahall be paid at the office
of the City Treasurer and the sacie shall be disbursed by him, all
as provided in the °Improvement Act of 1911°, as amended,
Section 8. Notice is hereby given that the provisiona
of that certain Act of the Legislature of the State oY Califor nia
designated as the °Special Assessment Investigation Limitation and

�a�ority Protest Act of 1931", approved June S, 1931 as amended,
have heretofore been fully aomplied �ith and all the reports
required under the provisiona of said Act are on Pile in the
office oY the City Clerk of the said City of Lynwood, open to
� public inspection, and may there be examined by all interested
persons.
Section 9. The proceedings for the aforesaid propoaed
work, or improuement, ahall be taken under an Act of Legislature
of the State of California designated as the "Improvement Act
of 1911", anproved Aprll 7 1911, and a.mendements thereto.
Section 10. The City Engineer is hereby directed to make
a diagram of the p�operty affected or benefited by said proposed
work, or improvement, as described in this Resolution of Intention
and to be assessed to pay the expenses of sa.id work, or improvement,�
showing each separate lot, piece or parcel oP land and the dimen-
sions of each such lot, piece or parcel of land and the relative
location of the same to the work, or i�provement, propoeed to be
done, all within the li�its of said asaessment district,
Section 11. The City Engineer, who is the Superintendent.
of Streets, is hereby directed to poat notices oP the passage of
thia resolution and oP said improvement in the manner provided
by said "Improvement Act of 1911", as amended.

Section 12. Notice is hereby giiven that on Tuesday, the
20th day of March, 1945, at the hour of B:00 o�clock P. M. at the
Council Cha�ber in the City Hall, in the City of Lynwood, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, any a.nd all persons having
� any ob�ectione to said proposed work, or improvement, or to
the extent of the district to be assesaed, or to the gradea to
which the work is proposed to be done, may appear before said.
City Council and show cause why said proposed work, or improvement,
should not be carried out in accordance with this resolution.
Section 13. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this resolution by the City"Council of the City of Lynwood and
cause�the same to be published twice in the Lyn�ood Press, a weekly
neeapaper published and circulated in said city and hereby desi�nated
by said City Council for the purpose aforesaid. Said Clerk is
also directed to mail notices of the adoption of this Resolution
of Intention in the time, form and manner, and to the persona,
all as provided by sa.id '�Improvement Act of 1911", as amended.
