Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood, as follows: •
19HEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City
Council of the City of Lynwood, by evidence offered in that
behalf, that on certain lots of land in said City there exists
- dry and drying weeds which dry and drying grass on such lots
' causes great damages to houses and atructures in said Lynwood
from fi� and constitites a public nuisance, and that sueh

public nuisance should at once be abated under the provisions
of an act of.Legislature of the 5tate of California, approved
May 26, 1915, Statutes 1915, Pa.ge 841, as said act is amended,
which said act is entitled: "An act authorizing 4dunicipalities
to decla:re noxious or dangerous weeds gro�aing upon the s'Greets
or sidewalks or upon private property within D4unicipalities, �
to be a public nuisance, crea_ting a 11en upon the property
fronting upon which such nuisance exiats for the cost of abating
the same," which act was approved Me.y 26, 1915,
AIQD WHEREAS, the lots of land upon v�hich such public
nuisance exists are descrSbed as follows;

�OW, THEREFORE, it is hereby reaolved and declared
, - by the City Council of the City of Lynwood, that the existance
of dry drying weeds on �ach oP said lots to be a public
nuisance, and it is hereby ordered that such nuisance be
� ' abated under the terms of that certain Act o£ the Legislature
of the State of Calif ornia above mentioned, a:s amended, and
the 8treet Superintendent of the City of Lynwood is directed to
cause notices to be given and posted which are necessary to
be given and poated as required by said Act, and this Council .
hereb,y fixes the 13th day of Marc�, 1945, at 8:00 o'clock P. �4,
at the Council Chamber of the City Gouncil of said City,
located at 11331 Plaza Street, in said City of Lynwood, as the
time and place of hea.ring all protests to the abatement of
said nuisances vihich may be made in the premises.•
