A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A CONSULTING CONTRACT TO DAVID VOLZ DESIGN LANDSCAPE
ARCHITECTS, INC IN THE AMOUNT OF NOT-TO-EXCEED $41,690 FOR THE
DESIGN OF FOUR (4) POCKET PARKS, PROJECT NO. 4011.67.867, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, on February 14, 2011, the City released a Request for Proposal
(RFP) for the design of four (4) pocket parks, Project No. 4011.67.867; and
WHEREAS, on February 24, 2011 four (4) consulting firms submitted their
proposal; and
WHEREAS, based on the level of staffing, expertise, previous experience and
proposed fee, staff is recommending that David Voltz Design Landscape Inc. be
selected to prepare the project design and contract documents for a fee of not-to-
exceed $41,690.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Lynwood City Council awards a consulting design contract
to David Voltz Design Landscape Inc. for a not-to-exceed fee of $41,690 for the design
of four (4) pocket parks, Project No. 4011.67.867.
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the Consulting Services
Agreement between the City of Lynwood and David Voltz Design Landscape Inc. in a
form approved by the City Attorney.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 15 day of March, 2011.
