WOOD, CALIFORNIA, CONFIRI�4ING REPORT OF THE STREET
SUPERINTENDENT IN CONNECTIGid WITH THE ABATEMENT OF
DRY AND DRYIiJG V7EEDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1945-46 UNDER
ACT 5197 OF THE GENERAL LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIF_

; VJ�IEREAS, the City Council of the Clty oP Lyn�voodi
CaliPornia, did on the 6th da�� of March, 1945, adopt a Res-•
olution No. 1778 relating to the abatement of dry and drying
- • weeda on certain Lots of land in the Citv of Lynwood under
Act 5197 of the Legislature of the State,of California as
".. amended, which said Reeolution fixed Marchl3, 1945 wheri any
and all interested persona might appea.r, or submit in writing, �
their ob,jection to said improvement, and
PJHEREAS� said hearing ��aas had and held. in accordance
" with law and th�e Street Superintendent was instructed to
proceed to aba.te the nuisance, which abatement was done as per
inatructions conYained in Resolution No. 1785, and
WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent has filed e�ith the
City Council of the City of Lyntis�ood an itemized report in
writing showing.the cost of removing such weeds on each separate
' Lot and has caused a. copy thereof to be-posted on the door of
the Council Ghamber in the City Hall, 11331 Plaza 3treet, Lynv�ood,
California as required by law, and
' WHEREAS, hearing wae duly held upon said report a�al
no ob,jections were filed by any of the property owners to be
aseessed for said Weed abatement as set forth in said Report oP
the Street Superintendent, and
WHEREAS� it appears that Notices were.poated according
to law and that the proceedinge were had and taken in conformance
with the General Laws of the State of California,
, 3�OW, THEREFORE,.BE IT RESOLUED by the City Council of
the Gity of Lvnwood that the said report of the 8treet Superintendent
of the City of Lynwood be and the same is hereby confirmed and
that the amounta of the coat for abating such nuisancea upon the
various parcela of land as shown in said report shall and the
same do hereby conatitute special assesament liens against said
respective parcels of land for the amounts set forth in the re-
port of said Street Buperintendent.
� BE IT FURTHER RE30LVED, that the City Clerk of the
City of Lynwood be and he ia hereby directed to turn over to the
Tax Collector of the County of Loe Angeles a copy of the report
of the Street Superintendent and said Tax Collector ia hereby in-
structed to add the amounte of the respective assesamenta tothe
regular bills for taxes covering fiscal year 1945-46 on the Lote
described in said report, as provided by Sectlon 7 of said Act
5197.
ADOPTED and APPROYED this 19th day of June, 1945.
