A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY�COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF' LYNWOOD
OVEI�RULING PROTE3TS, ORDERING THE WORK AND LEVYING THE
PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR SERVICE NECESSARY TQ MAINTAIN
A1VD ILLUMINATE THE SUSPENDED ELECTRIC 3TREET LAHdPS AND .
THE LAMPS ON ORIQ9MENTAL STANDARDS IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD.
Be it resolved by the City Coun�il of the City of Lynwood,
as follows:
. � WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood, Calif-
ornia, did on the 5th day of June, 1945, adopt a Resolution No.
1820 fixing the time and place for a hea:ring in the matter of
Light�ng Pnaintenance District No. 17 of the City of Lynwood, and
WfiEkEAS no protesta or ob�ections were filed with the
City Clerk ob�ecting to the proposed improvement, the extent of
the assessment district add the Assessment therefore, and
4VHEREAS� a11 interested persons were given full opportu-
.' nitq to present their protests or ob,Jeetions, and
, .. _. WHEREAS, evidence has been received as to.th.e publication
. and posting of n?otice of said. hearing in the time, form and man- .
ner required by law.
N06�, THEREFORE, the said City Council after due conslder-
ation, of a13 auch ob�ections and protests, does hereby over-rule ,
and deny such proteste and ob,�ections and each of them to the work �
or lmprovement to be done within said Lighting Maintenance District
as described in Resolution D?o. 1819 of said City and to the pro-
posed assesament,therefor; and does hereby confirm and adopt as a
whole, vnmodiPied, the assessment and report as described in
Resolution No. 1818, and
BE IT FURTf:ER kESOL`lEll; that the public intereet and con-
venience demanda and require and this City Council doea hereby order
the said contemple.tefl improvement to be made in accorclance vrith the
plana and speciPications therefor, adopted and approved; and the
City Couneil does hereby levy the said proposed asseasment made to
cover the coste and expensea oP said improvement upon the respective
subdiviaion of land in said district and e.s fixed by the proposed
report and assessment heretofore filed in the office of the City
Clerk, and
BE IT FURTH�R RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the City of
Lyn�ood ie hereby ordered to transmit to the County of Los Angelee
Tax Collector, the dia.gram and Aasessment upon which such levy is
based and said County Tax Collector ia hereby authorized and directed
to make collectiona of all such assessmenta, and to perform all the
acta and duties as are required of said act to be performed by the
peraons designated a.s °Tax Collector" in Section 7 of the Street
Lighting Act of 1919, as amended,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the time hereby fixed for re-
ceiving bids for the doing of saidaork and improvemertt herein or-
� dered is the 17th day of July, 1945, at the hour of 8:Q0 o'elock
P. M. and the City Clerk is hereby ordered to post and publish a
notice inviting sealed proposals in the time, form and manner set
forth in Section 15 of sa.id "Street Lighting Act of 1919", as amen�ed.
Said publication shall be made;in the Lynwood Press, a week-
ly newspaper printing and published in eaid City.
