AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, ESTABLISHING THE 2005 ELECTION
FILING PERIOD,AND ESTABLISHING THE 2006 PRIMARYAND GENERAL ELECTION DATES IN THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to Chapter 115 RSMo.,2006 Municipal Elections are hereby established for
the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as follows:
(a) A Primary Election shall be held Tuesday, February 7, 2006, if needed,
(b) A General Election shall be held Tuesday, April 4, 2006.
(c) The City Clerk shall notify the County Election Authorities of the candidates for office and
election dates,
(d) The following officials shall be elected in accordance with the Charter and Code of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri
(1) Five members, one from each of the five Wards, shall be elected to a 2-year
term;

Section 3. Declarations of Candidacy and Candidate Endorsement Forms must be filed with the
City Clerk between 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October18,2005, and 5:00 p.m.on Tuesday, November 22,
2005.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect fro�mt and after its passage and approval,
