AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,MISSOURI, RELINQUISHING A CERTAIN
EASEMENT FOR SANITARY SEWER PURPOSES IN LOTS 3, 4, AND 5 OF CC WEST
SUBDIVISION, SECTION 2.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, by an easement recorded in Book 311, Page 407, of the Records of the Cole
County, Missouri, a sewer easement was granted to the City of Jefferson, a
Municipal Corporation, to excavate within, Install, construct, maintain and
repair structures for the routing and conveyance of sewer in, under and
through the lots, tracts or parcels of land described in Section 1;
Section 1. The Council finds that the following described easement is surplus property
of the City and is no longer needed for any public purpose:
Part of the sanitary sewer easement of record In Book 311, Page 407, Cole
• County Recorder's Office, being only that part of said easement described
therein as follows:
A strip of land 10.0 feet of even width across part of the northeast quarter of the
northwest and part of the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter, all in
Section 16,Township 44 North, Range 12 West, in the County of Cole, Missouri;
the centerline of said 10.0 foot strip being more particularly described as follows:
From the northwest corner of the northeast quarter of the northwest quarter of
said Section 16,thence south 06 degrees 14 minutes 28 seconds east,along the
west line of said northeast quarter of the northwest quarter, 761.44 feet to the
point of beginning for this description; thence north 54 degrees 18 minutes 13
seconds east,238.03 feet;thence north 72 degrees 17 minutes 35 seconds east,
199.57 feel; thence south 74 degrees 55 minutes 30 seconds east, 364.85 feet;
thence south 60 degrees 01 minutes 37 seconds east, 237.66 feel;thence north
42 degrees 08 minutes 26 seconds east, 387.52 feet; thence north 43 degrees
24 minutes 29 seconds east, 399.87 feet to existing Manhole Station 136+85.49
(M.H. #42) "Main Branch Wears Creek Interceptor" and the point of termination
for this description.
Section 2. The easement described in Section 1 is hereby relinquished, and the City does
hereby release and abandon whatever Interest it has in the easement.
Section 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute any necessary
legal document relinquishing all of the City's interest in the tract of ground described in
