g FOR HIRE, WHOLLY WITHIN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,.
, 10 OVER, UPON AND ALONG STREETS, HIGHWAYS, ALLEYS,
�11 BO��ARDS, AVENUES, ROADS, AND OTHER
', PLACES; AND SPECIFYING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
13 OF SAID PERMIT.

15 The City Council of the City of Lynwood resolvea as
16 follo�rs: • ,
� 17 ___ Section l. The public convenience and necessity so
' 18 requiring,.there is hereby granted to DEAN CARSON a temporary
19 �d revocable per�i.t to operate two passenger motor buses, on
20 regular schedules, for the transportation of passengers and
21 , their hand baggage over such streets, highways, alleys, boule-
22 vards, avenues, roads and other public places, and portions
23 thereof, in the City of Lynwood, County.�of Los Angeles, 5tate of
� 24 California, as may be fixed and established,.from time to time,
25 . by the City Council of said city, under and upon reasonable
s
26 terms, regulations and notice.
27 Section 2. The co of all motor bus .
28 lines in full accordance with this permit shall commence at the
29 hour of six o'clock A. M. on the 22nd day of October 1945.
30 Section 3. The fare, one way, over any of the routes or

1 lines eatablished under this permit, and any and all extensions,
2 alterations, amendments, re-routings and additions thereto, with
3 in the limits of the City of Lynwood as said a.ity limits exist
4, at the effective date of this permit, shall be five (5�) cents
'� 5 one way. Children under five years of age, while not occupying
� 6 seats, shall be transported £ree of charge. The permittee shall
7 issue no passes nor.sell any tickets at reduced fares nor. trans-
8 port any persons, other than officers or employees, without
9 payment of the prescribed £are or without presentation of a
10 valid.pass issued by�the permittee upon request of said City,
11 Council. .
12 Section 4.. From and after the commencement o£ operations
. 13� under this permit the permittee shall operate his motor buses
14 every day, over the whole length of each of his routes or lines,
15 � at suf'ficiently frequent intervals and at such hours as may be
16 necessary reasonably to accommodate the traffic offered.
I ___ 17 _ Schedules may be altered, waived or changed by the permittee by
� lg and with the consent or at the direction of the City Council of
lg the City o£ Lynwood.
20 Section 5. The permittee, before-the operation of any
21 motor.bus under this permi.t, shall acquire, and thereafter at
22 all times shall keep in full force and'effect, public liability
23 and property damage indemnity or insurance, protecting both the
24 permi.ttee and the Citg.of Lynwood, as their interests may appear, '
• 25 covering personal injury or death to one person in any one
26 accident up to and including�Five Thousand (�5,000.00) Dollars
27 and property damage to any one person in any one accident up to
28 ancl including One Thousand (�p1,000.00') Dollars; and covering all
29 `personal injury and death up to�and including Twenty Thousand
30 « 20,000.00) Dollars for any one accident, and property damage,

' 1 regardleas of the numb,er of persons, up to.and including Five
2 Thousand (�5,000.00) Dollars Por any one accident.. Such,indem-
3 nity or insurance may.b'e by means of a trust.fund to be held in
4 trust by some institution or person acceptable to the City
8 Council of the City of Lynwood, or by means.of indemnity insur-
6 ance, or by means of a bond executed by a solvent_surety company
,. 7 authorized to do a surety business in-the State of.California;
8 or means of a combination of any or all'af said means, in
9 such manner that the aggregate of the protection and the prin-
10 cipal sum of the bond and the amount of the trust fund shall equ
�� 11 the sum.of Twenty-Fivo Thousand (�25,000.00).Dollars to be subfec
12� at all'times, however, to the maximum limits of liability herein-
13 before stated.
14 . Section 6. The permittae shall not sell, lease, assign
15 nor transfer any of the �rights or privileges granted by this
16 Permit unless such sale, lease, assignment or transfer shall
_ lq have been approved by the City Council of the City of Lynwood
18 , by resolution duly adopted. _
19 , Section 7. The permittee-shall indemnify and 'save free
20 and harmless the City of Lynwood against and from all damages,
21 judgments, decrees, costs and expenditures which said city may
22 suffer, or which may be recovered from or obtained against,'said
23 city'during the term hereof, for or by reason of acts done by
2 4 the during said term, or growing out of or resulting
25 from the exercise by said permittee of ariy•.or all of the rights
2 6 and privileges granted by this permit; or any act or acts, of
27 the servants or agents thereof, under or by virtue of the pro-,
2g visions of th3:s permit. `
29 Section S. This permit may be_revoked at any time by a.
30. .�otion of the City Council of the City of Lynwood duly adopted,

1 and written notice to the permittee at least thirty (30) days �
` 2 prior to the eff.ective date of such revocation. Unless sooner
3 revoked, as herein provided, this permit shall remain in full
4 force and effect until the City of Y;ynwood shall have granted a
8 franchise for the conduct and�maintenance of passenger motor bue
g lines similar to those herein permitted. � ,
