WFIEREA3, the City Council of the City of Lynwood, County
, of Los Angel�s, State of Californie,`•pursuant to the"3pecial A�-
seasment Inveatigation, Limitation and DQa�ority Protest Act of
1931," and after hearing thereon has made its findings and deter-
mination, covering the propo�ed construction of vitrifie d clay
pipe sanitary sewers, bogether with house conneetions, manholes�
lampholes, and all appux6enant xork, includin� the resurfacing of
trenches with bitvminous macsdam pavemerst in the atreets,and al-
',. leys included in the district hereinafter deseribed, and sAid City
�ouneSl has determined that the pro�ect is feesible and the pub3ic
�� interest, convenience and neee�aity require the improvement sub-
stantlally as set forth in sald report, and
WHEREA3� the City Cotanail has found that the lands to be
_ assasssd will be able to stand the burden of the proposed asaea�-
ment,
NOW, TfiEREFQRE, BE IT RESOLVED By the City Gouncil of the
City of Lynwood, California, as follows:,
SECTION 1: That in the opinion of the City Council of the
�ity of Lynvrood the public interest and eonvenience require and it
. is the intention of said City Council�to order the following work,
or improvement, to be done, to-vrit:

together xith house connectiona, manholes, lampholes, and all appur-
tanant work, including the reaurfacing of trenchea with bituminous
manadam pavement in the streets and alleys in the City of Lynv+ood�
County of Loa Angeles, State of Californis, described as followa:
Beginning at the northweat corner of Tract 13245;
,, thence east to the northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 1,
Tract 9288; thence southeasterly along the north line of
Block 1 to a point of intersection v� th a line 50 faet
(50f) north of the north boundary of Block 8; thence east
paralleling the north line of Block 8 to a polnt of inter-
aection mith the northerly prolongatlon of the west line
of Lot 12, Tract 6728; thence south along the west line
of the southerly prolongation of Lot 12, Tract 6728 to
the southwest corner of Lot 55, Tract 6728; thence west
slong the south boundary,of Lot 11, Tract 67a8 to the
southwest corner of said Lot; thence.southwesterly to the
south line of Lot I8, Block 6, Tract 9288; thence west to
the sou�heast corner of Lot 19,,Block 6, Tract 9288; thence
north to the northeast corner of.said Lot; thence vreat slong
the north line of said Lot and its westerly prolongation to
a point of interaection_xith the west boundary line of
Tract 13245; thence North along said boundary to point of
beginning.
That the cost of auch work, or improvement, it is esti-
mated will not eaceed the sum of Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred
Twelve and no/100 - - - - - - - -- - - - - Dollars (�16,512.00).
That all the work and improvement aforesaid shall be done
and performed as shown on and in accordance with and to the grades
shown on the plans, proPiles and s�eifications therefor filed in
the oPfice of the City Clerk in the City Hall of said City of Lyn-
wood. Said plana are hereby referred to for a full and detailed
desaription of sald proposed work and for the grade to which the
work is to be done and are made a part hereof.
SEGTION 2t That, pursuant to the provisions of 3ections
3e and b of the"Improvement Act of 1911," as amended, the City
Council of the City of Lynwood propoaes to do th� above work, or
improvement, by contract; no contribution of either labor or ma-

terial will be made by the City of Lynwood, and the entire ooat of
said improvement is to be paid by speaiel assessments upon bene-
Pited property. �
9ECPION 3: All of the �ork, orimprovement aforesaid�
described in Section 1 hereoP ahall be done in accordance with
and to the grade shown on Plans and Specifications No. 1945-B
for the improvement of the aforesald atreets, avenues, alleys and
interaections by the construction of vitrified clay pipe sanitary
aewers, together with house connections, manholes, lampholes, and
all appurtenant mork, including the reaurfacing of trenehes with
bituminoua mecadem pavement, which ia on file in the Office of the
. �ity Clerk of the Citq of �ynwood, California.

done and are made a part hereof.
SECTION 4: �e work, or improvement, Por the furniahing
and delivery by the Contractor of all labor, materiels and auppliea�
ahall be furnished end delivered in a¢cordance �ith Plans and
speaifiastiona No. 1945-B for furnishing and delivering materials
in aonnection with the construction of said vitrified clay pipe
sanitary sewera, together with houae conneations, manholes, lemp-
holes, and all appurtenant work, including the reaurfacing of
trenches �ith bituminous macadam pavement, on file in the Office
of the City Clerk oP the City of Lgnwood, California. Said Plans •
and 3pefications are hereby referred to for further particulars
and are made a part hereof.
SECTION 5 : Said contemplated work, or improvement, in
the opinion of the City Council, is of more than local or, ordin-
ary public benefit, and the �ity Counuil hereby determines and
deelares that the distrlct to be benefited by said �ork, or im�

provement, and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses of flir-
nishing all the materiels and supplies neceasary to do the above
mork,�or improvement, is the dtstriat described in Section 1 of
this Resolution, and as out2ined 3n Plan No. 1945-B on file in
the Office of the City C�erk, reference to which is hereby made
for more partiaulars, �
3ECTION 6: That it is determined that no part of the
cost of said improvement 1s to be paid by the City of Lynwood.
jhe entire aost oP labor, materisls and supplSes is to be paid by
special s�sessments upon b enefited property, and all the labor�
materiels andsapplies, the coat of which is to be paid by said
special assessments upon b enefited property, and �hich Will be
furn3shed and delivered by the Contractor in accordance with said
Plans and Speficationa No. 1945-B on file in the oPP1ce of the City
Clerk of the Gity of Lynwood. Reference is hereby made to said
Specifications for a full and complete description snd said Speci-
ficatinns shall govern for all detatis.
SECTION 7: Z`he City Council hereby determines and declarea
that serial bonds shall be isaued in the manner and form provided
in the "Improvement Act of 1911," as amended, bearing interest
at the rate oP six per eentum per annum to represent each aaseas-
ment af t�enty-f3ve Dollars (�25.00), or over, remaining unpaid for
thirty days after the date oP the warrant. Said serial bonds.shall
extent over a priod ending nine yeara from,the second day of Jan-
uary next�succeeding the next October fiPteenth following their '
date. Said Bonds end interaeat thereon shall be paid at the oPfice
of the 61ty Tr�asurer and the same ahall be diabursed by him, all.
as provided in the "Improvement Act of 1i911," as amended.

SECTION 8: Notice ia hereby given that the proviaioas of
that cestain Act of the Legislature of the State of California de-
" signsted as the "Speciel Assessment Investigation Limitation and
-_. Majority Protest�Act oP �931," approved June S, 1931, as amended,
have heretofora been fully complied with and ell• the reports re-,
quired under the prb�isions of said Act'are on file in the office
' oF the CityClerk of the said �ity of Lgnwood, open to public in-
spection, and msy there be examined by all interested peraons.
SECTION 9: �lhe Proeeedings for the aforesaid proposed
', work, or improvement, shall be taken under an Act of Le�islature
of the Stat� of California designated ea the "Improvement Aet
of �911," approved April 7, �911, and aipendments thereto.
SECTION 10: .The.City Engineer is hereby directed to make
- s diagram�oP the property affected or benefited by aaid proposed
work, or impronement, as de�cribed in thie Reaolution oP Intention
end to be saseased to pay the expenaes of eaid �ork, or improvement�
ahowing each separate lot, piece or parceZ of land and th� dimen--
sions.of each auch lot, .piece or pareel oP land and the relative
, lecation of the same to the work, or improvement, proposed to be
done, all within the limits of said assessment diatriat.
BECTION 11 : The C1ty Engineer, �ho ia the Superintendent
oP 3trsets, ia hereby directed to poat notices of the passage
thia resolution and of said improvement in the manner provided •
bys aid "Improvement Aat of �911," as amended,
SECTION 12: Notice is heretiy given that on Tuesday, the
20th day of November, I1945, at the hour of 8:A0 o�clioc� P. M. at the
Council Chamber in the City Hall, 11331 P3aza,Street, in the City
of Lynvrood, California, anq and all persons;�havin� any objections
or protesCs to said proposed work, o r imiQrovement, or to the ex-
tent o£ the distr3et_to be assessed, or to the grades to which the

�ork is proposed to be done, may appear before said City Council
; and sho� cause why said proposed work, or improvement should not
, be carried out in accordance with this Hesolution.
SECTION 13: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this Resolution by the Gity Council of the Oity of Lynwood and
eause the same to be published twice in the Lynwood Press,-a vreekly
newspsper publiahed and circulated in said City and hereby design-
ated by aaid City Council for the purpose aforesaid. 3aid Clerk ia
also dire¢ted to mail notices. of the adoption of this Resol�tton
of Intention in the t3me, form and manner, and to the persons,
all. as provided bys aid "Improvement Aet of T911," as anended.
