AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING THE NAME OF
THE STREET NOW KNOWN AS IKON DRIVE TO MODERN DRIVE.
WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted for changing the name of IKON Drive to Modern
Drive, located in The Diamonds Subdivision, between Emerald Lane and West
Edgewood Drive;
WHEREAS, It is desirable to change the name of this segment and bring the matter to
resolution, having ensured compliance with Section 25-40;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The street name known as Ikon Drive in The Diamonds Subdivision, a north-
south street connecting Emerald Lane and West Edgewood Drive, being situated between the
adjacent north-south streets of Onyx Drive on the west and Zircon Lane on the east, shall
hereinafter be known as "Modem Drive."
• Section 2. This street name shall appear in official documents and sites, Including street
name signs, and city street maps shall be modified,where needed, to reflect this change.
Section 3. Affected property owners, government entities, and other interested parties
shall be notified of this change.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of Its
passage and approval.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 7, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. in
the Council Chamberof the John G. Christy Municipal Building, 320 East McCarty Street,
Jefferson City, Missouri, on the subject of adopting Modern Drive as the official street
name for what is currently known as Ikon Drive, beginning at Emerald Lane on the north
and ending at W. Edgewood Drive on the south, in the City of Jefferson, Missouri.
