RESQLUTION AG7ARDING CGNTRACT EE ZT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI7'Y OF LI'An"?OOD, ,CAL7FORNIA., AS FOLLOth'S: That thi_s City Council has heretofore, on the 20th da.y of November, 1945, bp its resolution 1881, ordered the work or improve- ment of "LYnvJOOd Sewer District No. 1945-B by constructing vitrified clav pipe sanitarY sewers, together with housing connections, manholes; �unction chambers, drop manholes, lampholes and all appurtanant vrork, including re�surfacing of trenches with bituminous.macadem and/or Portlar_d cement concrete pavement,, as formerly surPaced in the streets, easements, a11eYs and public ways and all interseetions thereof, i and within the boundaries of what has been designated end lmown as "Lynwood Sewer District No. 1945B and shown on the map t hereof, now on file in the office oP the City Qlerk oP said Cit,y and the straets, easements, alleys and public wa.ys arrl intersections thereof, together with the exterior boundaries of said "L.ynwood Sewer District No. 1345-B, ell being specifically set out and described, in said Resolution 1874. That Notice inviting sealed proposals or bids, f or furnish- ing materiels and supplies, described in said Resolution.1874, together with the necessary labor and service and services mentioned in said Resolution and specified in the P1Ans and Specifications therein referred to, has been given, and posted, art3 published as by law renuired. That the Citv Clerk of said Cit��of Lynwood, has heretoPore presented and Piled his affidavit,'showing t hat sa.id notice, inviting sealed proposals or bids, has been posted conspicuously, f or more than PiPteen (15) days, on the front door c�' the City Council Chambers, -1- and upon the Bulletin Board at the f ront entrance of the City Hall, in said Cit,y of L,ynvJOOd, in all respects in accordance with the require- ments of law and said Resolution 1874. That said notices have remained continuously posted as aforesaid, to this time. Th�t there has heretofore been filed with this City Council� an afPidavit, sho��ng that notice inviting said proposals, or bids, and referring to t he plens and specifications on file and, to said ReGolution �1874, has been published twice in the Lynwood Press, e weekly newspaper, published and circulated in said Cit.y of L.ynwood, which newsnaper is the one designated by this City Couneil in said Resolution �1874, for said purpose and that said publication was aade in said newspaper upon the 7th day of Deeember, 1945, and upon the 14th day of December, 1945. That said posting of said notice and the said publication of , a said notice has, in all respects, been done and said notice, inviting proposals, or bids, has been given in the time, form� and manner � provided by Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the St�te of_Californis, and the provisions oP said Resolution ,�1874. SFCTION 4 That in the opinion of this CitY Council, the said Bob Bo=nyak is a resnonsible bidder. _3� � I SE'CTTOPT 5 Thet in its Resolution �1882, this City Council, did unon the 20th da.y of P:ovember 1945, ascertain and determine rate per diem wages and general prenailing r&te per diem wr�ges,f or the work and services and f or the work and services on legal holida,ys and overti.me work, in the localit.v of the Gitv of Lynwood, for each craft or t,yoe of laborer, worl�an or mechanic needed to esecute the contract for the above mentioned work, or improvement. SECTIODT 6 That the proposal, or bid, for the above mentioned work, or improvement, have been filed and delivered and opened in accordflnce with the provisions of said Resolution �1874, and Section 5243 of the StrPets and Hi�ehwavs Code oP the StAte of California.
