A RESOLIITIQN OF THECITY COUTTCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AGREEING TO GRAP7T A
FRANCHISE TO FAGIFIC ELECTRIC RAILWAY
CQMPANY FOR A SPUR TRACK TO CROSS IMPER-
IAL AIGHWAY AT FERNWOOD AVENUE.
WHEREAS, it manifestly appears to this City Council,
after careful consideration of all of the facts in the case,
that the application of Pacific Electric Reilway Company� a
' corporation, for a franchise for a spur track upon an d across
Imperial Highway isnecessary for the economic development of
service in the City; and
WHEREAS, it is the conclusion of this City Council,
after consideration of the facts, that there is and can be no
� bona fide competition for such franchise.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS'RESOLVED that the Gity Gouncil
will �rent the franchise requested to the Pacific Electric Rail-
way Company v� thout advertising the sarne for sale_to the highest
bidder, and the same shall b e$ranted to the Pacific Electric
Rai'lway Company bv ordinance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the City Clerk of the City
of Lynwood shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 15th day of January, 1946,
