A RESCLUTION PROPOSING TO InTSTITUTE IMPROVF�;�IENT
PkOCEEDIIdGS AND DIR.ECTITdG PREPARAiI0I4 OF REPORT
In the matter of the Proposed Improvement of that pro-
perty in Tract 10503, in the City of Lynwood, commencing at a
point at the intersection of Morton Road and Gertrude Drive, thence
westerly along the south side of Morton Road to Bullis Roac, thence
soiztherly along the east side of Bullis Road to Fernwood Avenue by
constructing sidewalks, curbs, gutters and aprons completely along
the said_ south side of Morton Road and by constructing sidewa.lks
a.long the east aide of Bullis Road in the above descrintion. .
B� IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Gity of Lynwood, �
California, as follows: I
1. That the public interest, convenience and necessity
requires, and the City Council of the City of Lynwood proposes to
institute proceedings for the improvement hereinafter set forth.
2. That the general nature, location and extent of
' such proposed improvement ia as follows; the construction of side-
walks alon� Bullis Road and of sidewalks, curbs, and gutters and
aprons along the atreets and alleys,. including all intersections
f
of said streets and alleys, in the County of Los P.ngeles, City
of Lynvrood, State of California, to wit: Al1 of that portion of
� Tract Tdo. 10503 in the City of Lynwood as recorded in the County
of Los Angeles and commencing at a point at the intersection of
Morton Road and Gertrude Drive, thence westerly along the south
side of P.4orton Road to Bullis Roa.d, thence southerly along the
east side of Bullie Road to Fernyaood Avenue.
3. That the nature, location and extent of such proposed
improvement is particularly shown on Pla.n Niap 19a6-A on file in
the office of the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood, �vhich pla:n is
open for inspection by all interested persons a.nd to which plan
rePerence is hereby made for all particulars relative to said
improvement. `
4. That the City Council of the City of Lyn��rood proposes
to do the above work or improvement by contract, the cost of cahich
is to be paid by special a.ssessment upon benefited property; that
the contractor shal7. furnish all ma.terials, labor, supplies and
equipment neceasa.ry to do the above work or improvement.
5. That it is hereby determined that no part of the
cost of said improvement is to be paid by the City of Lynwood.
6.' Tha.t the whole of the cost and expense of said
improvement is to be paid by special assessment upon benefited
properties.
7. That it is hereby determined that the Statute under '
which it is Aroposed to conduct the proceedings for said pronosed
improvement is that Act of the Legislature of the State of California
known and deeignated as the "Improvement Act of 1911", approved
A�ril 7, 1.911 (Statutes of 1911, page 730), and.all acts amendatory
thereof and supplementary thereto, u?ith bonds to�be issued as °
authorized under the provisions of said Act, and that it is hereby
determined that it is proposed to adopt the alternative procedure
set out in Section 3A of said Act for the doing of the work
authorized.thereunder.
8. That the boundary or extent of tre dietrict or lands
to be specially assessed. to pay the costs of such proposed improve-
�ent, or any part of such cost thereof, are described as follovrs:
All of that ,portion of Tract No. 10503 in
the City of Lynvrood as recorded in the County
� of Los Angeles and'described as Lots 118, 119, 120,
12.1, 122, 123, 124, 125� 126� 127, 128, 140, 141
142, 143, 144, 145� 146, 147, 148, 149, 150.

9. That the City Engineer be and he is hereby
appointed, designated and. ordered to prepare and deliver to
said Cicy Council a written report upon the said proposed impt°ove-
, ment in the form prescribed by and in accordance µith the pro-
• visions of the °Special Assessment Investigation; Limitation a.nd
NTa,,�ority Protest Act of 1931", as a.men3ed.
Approved and adopted this 5th day of February, 1946.
