A RESOLIITION OF THE CI'I'Y COUNCIL OF Tf� CITY OF
', LYNVJOOD CALIFORNIA DESIGNATING.GEORGE C SHANNON,
CITY MANAGER, AS THE AUTHORIZED AGENT OF,TIiE CITY
OF LYI�'JOOD TO SIGN ATT APPLICATION ON BEHALF OF
TEII�+' CITY OF LYNeY00D FOR ONE-HALF OF THE COST OF
PREPARING PLANS FOR POST-?NAR PROJECTS.
ZNHEREkS, the State oP California under Chapter 47, Statutes
,of 1944, (4th Extra Session) has appropriated P unds for allotment
by the Direetor oY Finance to provide Pinancial assistance to Local
Agencies defined therein as counties, cities or cities and counties
Por the purpose of dafraying not to exceed one-half the coet oP
� preparing engineering field surveys, engineerin� or architectural
designs, and working and detailed drawings and specifications (here-
inaPter called "P1ansTM) required for postwar public works projects
described as "specific pro�eets" in said Act; and '
TNf�REAS, the City'of Lynwood� hereinafter designated as
^Local Agency", desires to apply to the Director oY Finance and/or .
the Post War Public Vtorks Review Board, as the case may be, for an
allotment of the State's share of the estimated cost oP preparing the
completed.pTans hereinafter mentioned and there has been prepared
and presented to this 7�egislative Body for eonsideration an application
for such purpose; and
3?7HEREl�S, Loca1 Agency has provided, or will make available
upon approval of the aYorementioned application, sufficient funds to
prepare the completed plans herein ment"ioned;
N04V THEREFORE BE IT R�SOIALD, that Local Agency submit the
aforesaid application to the Director of Fin�nce and/or the Post VVar
Publie Works Review Board, as the case may be, requesting allotment
of Nineteen Hundred Twenty-nine (�1929.00) Dollars being not more
than one-half the cost of preparing said completed plans, or for such

amount as may be approved by the Director of Finanee and/or the Post
War Public Works Review Board (said a�llotment to be used Yor the pur-
. pose of defraying the cost of preparing said completed plans required),
for a specific pro3ect to be undertaken by local agenoy and d�scribed
' as City of Lqnwood Fire Station;
. BE IT FORTf�R RESOLVED, that the estimated cost oP preparing
. suoh plans is Thirty Eight Hundred FiPty-eight (�3858.00) Dollars
and that Local Agency has made provision ofr paying one-half or more
' oP the cost of preparing such plans;
HE ST FURZ'HER RESOLVED, that for the purposes of this
application, George C. Shannon, City Manager, City o£ Lynwood, be
and he hereby is designated as the authorized agent of Local Ageney
and is hereby authorized and d3rected to sign the above-mentioned
applieation on behalf of the I.ocal Agency and submit the same to the
Director of Finance and/or the Post War Public VJorks Review Board
togethar with a certiPied statement of the estimate� cost of prepar-
ing such plans and such other.inPormation as may�be required; md said
authorized agent is further authorized and directed as the representa-
tive of I.ocal Agency to conduct all negotiations and conclude all
arran�ements, including submission to t he Director of Finance of
applications for reimbursement, which may be necessary to secure
reimbursement•for the State's share of the e�enditures made in pre-
paring said completed plans. __ . "
