3 . Review discussion paper # 1 - Sustaining Brewster's Public Beaches and Landings in the Face of Changing
Conditions
a. Carol Ridley led a discussion about the white paper for the first meeting. She mentioned that it has
been posted for public viewing on the town website and hopefully people will take the time to read
it before the meeting. As a committee we will try and have 20 to 30 copies available at the meeting
on the 17th for anybody who has not seen a copy. Carol mentioned that paper #2 would be coming
shortly. Mary O'Neil had 2 minor edits for Carol to make to the paper, they will be made and the
updated copy posted.
4. Discuss format and logistics for May 17 community discussion and assign responsibilities
a. Carol Ridley handed out an outline for the community meeting (attachment # 1) . The committee
when though the outline as presented and discussed any changes or reordering that the committee
felt might be appropriate.
b. The committee discussed logistics of the meeting, flip charts and cards for people to write questions
on. The committee decided what tasks the members would complete during the meeting and how it
would run .
5 . Update on Paines Creek project
a. None
6 . Update on DCR bike trail expansion
a. Theis a Public Meeting being held by DCR on June 6 @ 5pm at Brewster Town Hall
7 . Update on collection of beach shuttle information
a. Mary would like to have a couple of conceptual models for our August public meeting. There were
a number of concepts presented in the strategy. The committee will continue to investigate
currently operating shuttles for examples .
8. Set next meeting date and agenda
