AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING CHAPTER 8
(BUILDINGS AND BUILDING REGULATIONS), ARTICLE VI (FLOOD HAZARD
REGULATIONS), SEC. 8.61 (GENERAL PROVISIONS), SUBPARAGRAPH(C)OF THE
CODE PERTAINING TO COLE COUNTY FLOOD HAZARD MAPS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter8, Article VI, Sec. 8-61, subparagraph(C)of the Code of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, Is hereby amended, as follows:

BUILDINGS AND BUILDING REGULATIONS
• ARTICLE VL FLOOD HAZARD REGULATIONS
Sec.8.61.General provisions.
C. Basis for establishing the areas of special flood hazard:
I. The areas of special flood hazard which are identified by the Federal Emergency
Management Agency through a scientific and engineering report entitled The Flood
Insurance Study for Cole County and Incorporated Areas

thereto arc hereby adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this article. The flood
insurance study is on rile in the office of the city clerk.

3.2. All areas of special hood hazard which are within the City limits and located in Callaway
County,Missouri, identified in The Flood Insurance Study of Callaway County,Missouri,
dated February I8,2005 and accompanying flood insurance rate maps(and floodway maps)
with any revisions thereto are hereby adopted by refcreacc and declared to be a part of this

of its passage and approval.
