RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING OF A NUTE
IN THE APdOUNT OF �1958.60 �ADE PAYABLE IN
EQUAL Ii1STALLMENTS ON APRIL 1, 1947, APRIL 1,
1948, APRIL 1, 1949,, TO INDIA PAINT AND LAC-
QUER COMPANY AS PAYMENT FOR ONE THOUSAND FEF.T
OF CAST IROid PIPE AND FITTINGS TO FULFILL THE
AGREEioSENT MADE AT THF REGULAR MEETIiVG OF THE
CITY COUNCIL NOVEMBER 6, 1945.
WHEREAB, the City Council at its regular meeting�November '
6, 1945 negotiated with Mr. W. W. Seaman, representing the India l
Paint and Lacquer Compan9 and an agreement wae reached whereby the
India Paint and Lacquer Company would pay for the neceasary pipe and
Pittings to lay a ten (10) inch water main one thousand (1000) feet
up Alameda Street Prom Fernwood Avenue; and �
WHEREAS, the City Agreed to furnish labor and to repay the
India Paint and Lacquer Company for the cost of eaid pipe and Plttings
in equal inatallmenta, without interest, paymenta .to extend over a
period of three (3) years; and
PHEREAS, bida were advertised Per one thousand (1,000)
feet oP ten (10) inch caet iron pipe and the necessary fittinge, and
the bid was awarded to the Grinnell Company of the Pacific as the
loweet and beat bidder according to law; and
WHEREAS, the pipe has been delivered and the bill in the
amount�of One Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-ei�ht Dollara Sixty Centa
(�1,958.60) has been preaented to.the India Paint and Lacquer Company
for payment; and
WHEREAS, the India Paint and Lacquer Company desirea the
City Council to authori2e�the iasuance of a note in the sum of One

Thousand Nine Hundred�Fifty-eight Dollars Sixty Cents (�1,958.60) to

be payable Six Hundred Fifty-two Dollars Eighty-six Cents (�652.86)
on April 1, 1947, Six Hundred Fifty-two Dollars Eighty-six Centa

NOW Tf�REFORE: BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
authorizes the signing of such note and instructs that said payments
will be made on the dates due.
