� V,iF�REAS, the State of �California undes Chapter 47, Statut°s

of 1944, (4th Extra Sessiori)�has appropriated funds for allotmerit
by the Director of Finanee to provide financial assistance to.I,ocal
� Agencies defined therein as counties, cities or cities and counties,
for the purpose of defraying not to exceed one-half the cost of �
preparing en�ineering field surveys, engineering or architectural
designs, and working and detailed drawings and specifications (here-
inafter called TMPlans") required for postwar public �rrorks pro�ects
described as "specific projects" in said Act; and
" �iVHEREAS, the City of Lynwood, hereinafter designated as
� `°Local Agency", desires to apply to the Director of Finance and/or
the Post i"1ar. Public Works Revie�a Board, as the case may be, for an
allotment of the State`s share of the estimated cost of preparing the
- comp�eted plans hereinafter mentioned and there has been prepared
and presented to this Isgislative Body for consideration an,application
for such purpose; and
'�PtfiEREAS, Local Agency has provided, or will make available
upon approval of the aforementioned application, sufficient funds to
prepare tha completed plans herein mantionad;
N0��7 THEREFUft� BE IT FrESOLUED, that Local kgency submit the
aforesaid application to the Director oP Finance and/or the Post ?;lar
Public Works Review Board, as the case may be, requasting allotment
of Fifteen Hundred T�venty (�"��:00) Dollars being not more than
one-half the cost of preparing said completed p�.ans, or for such

amount as may be approved by trie Director of Finance and/or the Post
War Fublic Works Review Eoard (said allotment to be used for the pur-
t
post of defraying the cost of preparing said completed plans required),
- for a apecific pro�ect to be undertaken t�y Iocal agency and described
as City of Lynwood Fire Station;
BE IT k'ETRTI�R RESOLVED, that the estimated cost of preparing
such plans is Th'ree Thousand Forty (��3,040.00) Dollars and that Local
Agency has made provision for paying one-half or more of the cost of
preparing such plans;
. BE IT FURTFiER RESOLVED, that for the purposes of this
application, GeoTge C. Shannon, City Manager, City of Lynwood, be .
and he hereby is designated as the authorized agent of Local Agency i
and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the above-mentioned I
application on"behalf of the Local Agency and submit the same to the
Director of Finance and/or the Post War Public Works Review Board
together with a certified statement of the estimated cost of prepar-
ing such plans and such other infor:nation as may be required; and
said authorized agent is further authorized and directed as the
representative of Local Agency to �nduct all negotiations and conclude
� all.arrangements, including submission to the Director of Finance oP
'� applications for reimbursement, which may be necessary to secure' �
reimbursement £or the State's share of the expenditures made in
' " preparing said completed plans.
