RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 'PHE N'ATER CLERK
TO SET.UP A SPECIAL CHARGE FOR VJfiTER
FOR VICTORY GARDENS THAT ARE CULTIVATED
ON LAND IN ADDITION TO AN AVERAGE 50'
LOT. . _ �
Wf�RLAS, the present water ordinance provides that tvao
thousand (2,000) sauare feet of ground may be cultivated for victory
gardens without additional charge to the water bill; and,
V1f�REAS, there are instances where additional land is used
for victory garden purposes;�and,
W13EREAS, it has been the policy of the City Council in past
years to make an additional charge for each fifty foot (50') lot or
portion thereof used.
Tf�REFORE BE IT RESOLVED that it shall be the policy of the
City,Council to permit the cultivation of 2000 square feet for victory
gardens in addition to an average 50 foot lot without additional charge,
and that ground used in excess thereof be charged at the rate of
Seventy-five Cents (75�G) per month for additional 50 foot lots, and
that the water olerk be authorized to incorporate the above chargas
as out3ined in the monthly water bills. .
