Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Lynwood,
, California, as follows:
NJI�REAS, pursuant to an Act of the Legislature of the
State of California, approved 9pril 24, 1937, and knoivn as the "Labor
Code," the �ity Council of the City of Lynwood is required to ascer-
ta n the general prevailin� rate of per diem v�ages and the general
prevailing rate of per diem wages for legal holidays.and overtime
work, in this locality, £or each craft or type of laborer, worlanan or
mechanic needed to execute the contract for furnishing and delivering
certain materials and supplies in connection with the improvement
of that property by the construction of curbs, gutters, sidew&.lks and
driveway aprons in the streets and alleys in the City of Lynwood,
County of I.os An�;eles,.State of California, described as follotivs:
In that property lying South of Fernwood �venue

hereby ascert�in and determine that the general prevailir�g rate of
per diem wages for each cra£t or type o1" laborer, worlrnian or mechanic

is one and one-half times the general prevailing rate of per diem
wages for such craft or type of laborer, o�iorlanan or mechanic herein

Section 3. The ger_eral prevailing rate of per diem wa�es

pxovided herein is b�sed upon a working day of eight (8) hours, and
' in the event laborers, worlunen or mechanics are employed less than
eight (8).hours per �ay, the per dien wages for euch employment shall
be deemed to be that fraction of said rate that the number of hours
of employment bears to eight (S) days.
