I�OTICE I?\VITIP?G BIDS Be it resolved by the City Council of tYie City of Lynrvood California, as follows: - Section 1. In the opinion of the City Council of the City of I,ynwood the public interest and convenience req_uire and said City Council having acauired jurisdiction 'so to do, the following vrork, or ,. improvement, is hereby ordered to be done, to-v.it: The construction of:curbs, gutters, sidewalks and driveway aprons in the streets and alleys in the:City of Lynwood, County of Los �ngeles, State of California, described as follows: In that property lying South of Fernwood Avenue and betvaeer Eullis Road on the ?'�est and Dr:uriel ' �rive on the East, excepting Lots 1 and 109 to 116, inclusive, in Tract 10503, in the City of Lynwood, County of Los ��ngeles, State of Califor- nia all as described in T�fap 1945A on file in the off3ce of the City Clerk of said City. That all the work and improvement aforesaid shall be done and � performed as contemplated in kesolution No. 1916 of the City Council of the City of Lynwood, California, and as shov��n on and in accordance with and to the grades shov.m on the plans, profiles and specifications PTO. 1945A therefor filed in the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall of said Cit�r of Lyn�°�ood. Said Resolution and plans are hereby referred to for a full and detailed description o�' said proposed work and £or the grade to vrhich the vaork is to be done and are made a part hereof. Section 2. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Streets and High�vays Code Division cited as "Improvement �ct of 1911,'! as amended, the City Council of the City of Lynwood proposes to do the above work, or improvement, by.contract; no contribution of either labor or material vrill be made by City, and the entire cost of said improvement is to be paid by special assessments upon benefited property. Section 3. All of the work, or improvement aforesaid, described in Section 1. hereof, shall be done in accordance with and to the grade shown on Plans and Specification Ido. 1945A for the improvement of aforesaid streets, avenues, alleys and intersections by the construction of curbs, gutters, sidewalks and driveway aprons as described in Specification 1945A, on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Lymvood, California. Said plans and.Specificatior_s are hereby referred to for a fu11 and detailed description of said proposed work, or improvement, and for the description of the grade to v�hich the work is to be done and are made a part thereof. Section 4. The worY., or improvement, for the furnishing and delivery by the cor_tractor of all labor, materials and supplies, shall be furnished and delivered in accorder_ce with Flflns and Speci- fications No. 1945A for furnishing and delivering materials in con- r.ections with the improvement of said streets, avenues, alleys and intersections by the construction of curbs, gutters, sidewalks and driveway aprons and appurtenant work as specified by said plan on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood, Cali-.� • fornia. Said Plans and Specifications are hereby referred to for further particulars and are made a part hereof. Section 5. Sai� contemplated work, or improversent, in the opinion of the City Council, is of more than local or ordinary public benefit, and the City Council hereby determines and declares that the -2- district to be benefited b� said v�ork, or improvenent, and to be assessed to pay the costs and e�penses of furnishing all the materisls and supplies necessary to do the above work, or improve�ent, is bounded and deseribed as f ollo�vs: The construction of curbs, gutters, side�ralks and driveway aprons in the streets and alleys of the City of Lynwood, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as described as follows: In that property lying South of Fernwood Avenue and betvreen Dullis Road on the West and I�;furiel Drive on the East, excepting Lots 1 and 109 to 116, inclusive, in Tract 10503, in the City of Lynwood, County of Los Angeles, State of California as described in P.4ap 1945A on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. Sectior. 6. That it is hereby determined that no pz3rt of the cost of said improvement is to be paid by the City of Lynwood. The entire cost of labor, materials and supplies is to be paid by special assessments upon benefited property. All labor, materials and supplies, the cost of which is , to be paid by said special assessment upon benefited property, and whicl'i will be furnished ancl delivered by the Contractor in accord- ance with said Plans and Specif'ications No. 19?5k on file in the office of the City Clerk of Lynvrood. Reference is hereby made to said Specifications for a full and complete description and said Specifications shall govern for all details. " Section 7. The City Council hereby determines and declares that serial bonds shall be issued in tP,e manner and form provided in the Streets and Highways Code Division 7, cited as ^Improvement Act of 1911" as amended, bearing interest at the rate of six per centum per annum to represent each assess�ent of t�venty-five dollars (;�25.00), or over, remaining unpaid for thirty days af'ter the d�te of the vaarrant. Said serial bonds shall extend over a period ending nine years from the second day of January next succeeding the ne�t • _ . I __ October fifteenth following their date. Said bonds and interest thereon shall be paid at the o£fice of the City Treasurer and the same shall be disbursed by him, all as provided in the Streets and Hi�hways Code, Division 7, cited as "Improvement �ct of 1911," as amended. Section 8. The proceedings for the aforesaid pro�osed work, or improvement, shall be taken under an rict of Legislature of the �tate of Califo.rnia desi�nated as the Btreets and �iighv�ays Code, Division 7 cited as "Improvement Act of 1911," and amendments � thereto. Section 9.
