Mathews Consulting, Inc. (MC) is pleased to submit herewith the scope of services and fee proposal for
providing Engineering Services for the lift station electrical improvements. The project consists of
providing electrical connections to the sanitary lift station located at the corner of the Town Hall parking
lot in order to serve the lift station from the Town's emergency generator.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Task I —Design
MC, through our electrical subconsultant C&W Engineering, shall provide the following services during
design of the project:
• Coordination of the project between Town, MC and C&W Engineering.
♦ On-site meetings to evaluate existing conditions.
• Engineering calculations to determine wire and circuit breaker sizing.
♦ Prepare engineering drawings, including electrical site plan and power one -line diagrams.
Provide specifications on the drawings as required for permitting and construction.
♦ Prepare cost estimate of improvements at the 100°/a design stage.
Task 2 — Bidding Assistance
it is assumed that the Town will solicit quotes from licensed electrical contractors to perform the
construction work. MC, through.aur electrical subconsultant C&W Engineering, will assist the Town in
obtaining quotes from the connectors and negotiating final price of the project. MC shall provide the
Town with contract documents for which to secure the contractor's services. The contract documents will
not include detailed specifications (these shall be included on the drawings).
Task 3 — Construction Services
MC, through our electrical subconsultant, will provide the following services during construction:
• Coordination with the contractor.
• Shop drawing review and approval.

The compensation for services provided shall be billed on an hourly basis plus reimbursable expenses for
each subtask of work, up to the following not -to -exceed cost.

Assumptions
Work described herein is based on the assumptions listed below. If conditions differ from those assumed
in a manner that will affect the Scope of Work and schedule, MC shall advise Town in writing of the
magnitude of the required adjustments. Change in completion schedule or compensation to MC shall be
negotiated with the Town.
1. Town shall furnish MC available record drawings of the lift station.
2 Town personnel shall assist in field verification of affected Town facilities.
3. The contractor will be required for securing all necessary permits for construction of the project.
