THE meeting of the Town Boamissioners of the Town of Gulf Streams was held.
Pn ionday Dec. 10, 1951, at 9:00 AL, at the Town Hall.
r sent were, Mayor Commissioner L. Seton Lindsay, Commissioner N. J. Clarke,
e iayor, Commissioner S. Ilehart, and Town Clerk ' Commissioner Wm. J. Bauer.
icer E. W. Cooper reported on roads and was instructed to see that additional
repairs be r:ade o� the roads. Officer Cooper was given authority to buy two new
tires and lifeguard tubes, upon advice of Town Clerk Wm. J. Bauer, on where to
buy them after prices have been checked.
The minutes of the meeting Nov. 12, 1951, were read and arproved.
The attached letter from Mr. ,i. C. Johnston was read and discussed. It was
decided to keep the spped limit fixed at 25 miles per hour, in view of the fact
that Delray Beach limit is 25 miles per hour and the Corrimissioners did not wish
to invite the &endency to increase speeding. It was suggested that reflector
type signs be put up at each end of the Town and 'town Clerk Bauer was instructed
to ;et estimates of the cost of reflector signs.
Town Clerk Bauer reported the water meter readings as follows:
Individual 2,568,000 gallons
waster 2,640,000 gallons
he bank balance was reported as ;8,418.12, after the attached list of bills were paid.
• The attached list of bills paid by checks #907 -926, inclusive were approved $950.36
:-The attached letter regarding hot dog stands was read and discussed and,it was ,
decided the .writer must have been refering to conditions in Briney Breezes.
The question of a New Zoning Ordinance came up and a Resolution was submitted, approved,
and passed, that the maiter of a complete new Zoning Ordinance for the Town of Gulf
Strear,. be taken up with our 'Town Legal Council, Mr. C. Y. Byrd, and that a new / \
Ordirance be based upon the present Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Falm: Beach, and �!J
that this new ordinance be submitted if possible, ready for adoption at the next
meeting of the fown Council ir, January.

Town Clerk Bauer was asked to requcat the City Mana er of Delray Beach to send an
officer to the corner of 8th Street and A]A on Sundays and on other peak traffic
periods to relieve the traffic congestion.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously resolved that the Town Hall
for the Town of Gmlf Stream be moved from the Gulf Stream Golf Club to the new
Town Hall Buildirg gist erected on the corner of Gulf Stream Road and County Road.
It was further resolved that the Town Hall shall be officially open for business
from 10.00 AM to 12:00 noon, daily from .v.onday to Friday inclusive. The move to be
effective froit,rLonday Dec. 10, 1951. This Resolution is being duly posted at the
Gulf St eani Golf Club and at the new Town Hall today.
