RESOLUTION SUPPLEMENTING RESOLUTION 00-252 AND
ADOPTING THE BOROUGH'S HOUSING ELEMENT AS THE
UPDATED FAIR SHARE PLAN
WHEREAS, the New Jersy Fair Housing Act of 1985 and the New Jersey
Municipal Land Use Law requires municipalities to adopt a Fair Share Plan that
addresses the municipality's present and prospective need for iow and moderate
income housing; and
WHEREAS, the Carteret Planning Board has adopted a Housing Element of the
Master Plan and the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret has endorsed
this Housing Element by Resolution 00-252; and
WHEREAS, it is statutorily required that a municipality, in this case, adopt the
Housing Element as the Municipality's Fair Share Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret that the Housing Element enclosed in Resolution 00-252 is
hereby adopted as theBorough's updated Fmr' Share Plan.
Adopted this 5th day of October, 2000
and certified as a true copy of the
original on October 6, 2000.
