THE PURPOSE OF TAKING CAHE OF E�iERGENCY CASE3. �
The Mayor.and City Council of the incorporated City
, of Lymvood, Calif.ornia, doea hereby resolve as follows:
- That the City of Lynwood, California does not.have an
is not able to'provide emergency hospiLalization for emer�ency
, cases and particularly traffic accident casea which are oP "
frequent occurrence in triis area.
That there are no other available emergency hospital
facilitiea reasonablq close to the City of Lynwood. That the
closing of the hospital Pacilitiea at the Health Center in the City �
of Compton, which�is located at ,'�#O1 North Willowbrook A�enue, hae
seriously inconvenienced the public in this area Por the reason that
there are no close emergency hospital facilitiea to which emergency,
traPfic casea and emergency cases from other causes can be taken,.
That to find emergency hoapitalization in said typea of casea requirea
a conaiderable delay and conaiderable additional and apparently ,
unnecessary-su.ffering upon the part of tHe patient, wHo often requires
immediate hospitalization..
• That moat of the cases formerly serit to eaid hospital ,
were county casea'. That the closing of said hospital facilities �: �
throws an undue burden upon the City of. Lynwood cahich the local -_
' community is unable to handle. ', .,
NOW, TAEREF'ORE, be it reeolved, that the Honorable Boaxd
oP Supervisors of Los Angeles Gounty, Californla, are hereby requeated
to reopen and re-equip and mainta].n.said emergency hospital facilitiea�
at the earliest posaible.date in order to meet the dire neceasity of_
hospitalization. , � .

Be�it further-reaolved that the City Clerk sha11 send •
e. duly certified copq oP,this Resolu.tion to the Honorable �illiam

the City Manager.of the City of Compton, Mr. J. H.:Park, and that .
the City Council also send a certified copy of this Resolution to
the secretary oP the Honorable�Board of Supervieora of Los Angeles ,.,
County, Californis.
