OVER'=RULING PROTESTS, ORDERING PHE 4rORK AND LEVYING THE
PROPOSED ASSESSn�ENT FOR SERVICE NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN
AND ILLUIvIINATE THE S[JSPENDED ELECTRIC STREET LA�TPS AfdD
THE L.�iiPS ON ORNATP.EIJTAL STANDARDS IN THE CITY OF LYN4YOOD.
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Lynwood,
as follows: •
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lymvood, Calif-
ornia, did on the 6th day of June, 1944,_adopt a Reaolution No.
1671 fixing the time and place for a hearing in the matter of
Lighting Maintenance District No. 17 of the Gity of Lynwood, and
���gg�g noc` protests or ob,Jectiona were filed v�ith the
City Clerk ob3ecting to the proposed improvement, the extent of
the assesament district and the Assessment therefor, and
WHEREAS, a11 interested �ersona were ;iven full opportu-
nity to present their protests or ob,jectiona, and

WHEREAS, evidence has been received as to the publication
and posting oY Notice of said hearing in the time, form and man-
ner required by law. �
NOFl, THEREFORE, the said City Councll after due considera-
tion, of all such ob,Jections and proteats, does hereby over-rul.e
and deny such proteats and ob,jections and each.of the, to the work
or improvement to be done witnin s�id Lighting I�Qaintenance District
as described in Resolution No. 1679 of eaid City and to the pro-
j posed assessment therefor; and does hereby confirm and a3opt as a
' whole, unmod.ified, the assessment and report as described in
Resolution No. 1669, and �
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the public interest and con-
venience denands and require and this City Council does hereby order
the said contemplated improvement to be made in accordance v�ith the
plans and sepcifications, ther2for, adopted and approved; and the

City Council does hereby levy the said proposed assessment made to
cover the costs and expenses of said imnrovement upon the respective
subdivision of la.nd in said district and as fixed by the propoaed
report and assessment heretofore f?led in the office of tne City
Clerk, and
BE IT FURThER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk oF the City of
. Lynwood is hereby ordered to transmit to tre Count,y of Los Angeles
Tax Collector, the diagram and Aesesement upon �+.�hich such levy is
based and said County Tax Collector is hereby a.uthorized and directed
to make collections of all such assessmente, and to perform all the
acts and duties as are reaGCired of said act to be performed by the
persons designated as "Tax Collector" in Section 7 of the Street .
Lighting Act of 1919, as amended.
BE IT r^URTHER RESOLVED, that the time hereby fixed for re-
ceiving bids for the d.oing oY sa.id work and improvement herein or-
dered ia the 18th day of July, 1944, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock
P. It4. and the City Clerk is hereby ordere�- to gost and publi.sh a ��
notice inviting sealed proposals in the time, form and manner set
forth in Section 15 of said "$treet Lighting Act of 1919", as amended.
Said pub:.ication shall be made in the Lyn�vood Press, a week-
ly necvapaper printing and published in said Citv.
ADOPTED and AFPROVED this 5th day oP 7uly, 1944.
