CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.2012-80
A RESOLUTION APPROVING CANVASS OF RETURNS AND DECLARING THE
RESULTS OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 6, 2012
WHEREAS, a Municipal Election was held at the General Election on Tuesday,
November 6, 2012, to vote on the offices of Mayor and two 4-year Council Members and the
official returns of the election judges were presented; and
WHEREAS, said returns were duly examined, approved, and placed on file in the Office
of the City Clerk; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina
that it is hereby found, determined, and declared that the Regular Municipal Election held in and
for the City of Medina on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 was in all respects duly held and the
returns thereof have been duly canvassed, the votes cast at said election were:
MAYOR, Two-year term, beginning the first Monday of January 2013.
Tom Crosby Received 1,817 Votes
Karl G. Hanson Received 650 Votes
Darrell Johnson Received 283 Votes
Write -Ins Received 17 Votes
Undervotes Received 473 Votes
Overvotes Received 0 Votes
Total 3,240 Votes
COUNCIL MEMBER, Four-year term, Two Seats, beginning the first Monday of
January 2013.
Elizabeth (Liz) Weir Received 1,747 Votes
John G. Anderson Received 1,323 Votes
Jim Dailey Received 879 Votes
Write -Ins Received 22 Votes
Undervotes Received 2,505 Votes
Overvotes Received 4 Votes
Total 6,480 Votes
Other election statistics include:
There were 3,323 registered voters at 7:00 a.m. 372 persons registered to vote on
Election Day.

IT IS HEREBY FOUND AND DECLARED that the following candidates for office of Mayor

COUNCIL MEMBER (4 year term) .Elizabeth (Liz) Weir
COUNCIL MEMBER (4 year term) _ John G. Anderson

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Siitari
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:

Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
