Present: Mayor L. Seton Lindsay, Vice Mayor aim T. Jebb and T wn
Clerk Wm.J. Bauer. Also present Mr. Cy.Y.Byrd Town Attorney and U,cil+
Mr. J.F. Riley of the Bessermer Properties. Also attending the
meeting was General Arthur H. Carter, Treasurer of the Gul Stream
Golf Club.
A lengthy discussion was held on the possibilities and sources of
securing Water for the Town of Gulf Stream.
General Arthur H. Carter as a representative of the Gulf Stream
Golf Club set a figure at which the Gulf Stream Golf Club would
sell their water plant to the Town of Gulf Stream. Mayor Lindsay
thought the figure too high, and advised General Carter that after
further thought and more study, the Town would advise the Gulf
Stream Golf Club of their decision.
It was brought to the attention of the Commissioners that the
Election of Town Officers at a General Election was scheduled for
1. arch 1,1949. Mr. C. Y. Byrd, as Town Attorney was instructed
to draw up whatever papers were necessary.
