, WOOD, CALTFORNIA, CONFIRMING REPURT OF THE STREET °
SUPERINTENDENT IN OONNECTION VJITH THE ABATETrIENT OF
DRY AND DRYING tiNEEDS FOR FISCAL YEAR'1942-43 UNDER.
ACT 5197 OF TF3E GENERAL LAWS OF THL STATE OF CALIF- .''
ORNIA, AS AYd.ENDED.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the.City of Lynwood, Calif-
ornia, did on the 21st day of April, 1942, adopt a Resolution
; No.,1439 relating to the abatement of dry and drying weeds on. -
certain Lots of land in the City ,of Lynwood under Act 5197,
of the Legislature of the State of California as amended;
which said Resolution fixed Iday 5, 1942 when any and all�in- .
. terested persons.might appear, or submit in v�riting, their
objection to said improvement', and -
- WHEREAS, said hearing was had and held�in accordance
with law and the Street Superintendent was instructed to �
proceed to abate the nuisance, �rhich abatement was done as
" per,instructions contained in Resolution DTo. 1441, and �
. _,_. 4YHEREAS, the Street Superintendnt,has filed the
�. City'Council of the City of Lyn�vood an itemized report im �
; vrriting showing.the cost of removing such weeds on each
; aeparate Lot and has caused a copy thereof to be posted on
the door of the Council Chamber in the City Hall, 11331 Plaza
� �Street, Lynwood, California as�required by.law, and � �
WHEREA:3, hearing was dul'y held upon said report and
no ob�ections were filed by any of the property owners to
be assessed for said weed ab'atement as set forth in said Re- „
port of the Street Superintendent, and
WHEREAS, it appears�that Notices were posted accord-
ing to law and that the proceedings were had and taken in
con£ormance with the General Law;s'„of the State of California, '�

NOW; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
.of the City of Lynwood that the said report of the Street
� Superintendent of the City of Lynwood be and the same is .
hereby confirmed and that the amounts'of the cost for abating
° �such nuisances upon'the various parcels 'of land as shown in
said report shall and the same do' hereby constitute special
- assessment liens against said respective-parcels of land for .
the amounts set forth in the,report of said Street Superin-
tendent.. . " �
BE IT FURTHER;RESOLVED, that the City Cierk of the
City of Lynwood be and he is hereby directed to turn over to
the Tax Collector of the County of Los Angeles a copy of
the report of the Street Superintendent and said Tax Col- : �
lector is hereby instructed to aaa the amounts of the res-

pective assessments to the regular bills for ta�ces cover-
ing fiscal year 1942-43 on the Lots described in said report, .
as provided by Section 7 of said Act 5197.
